Armani Hotel Milano
A new vision of hospitality.
On the 10th of November the new Armani Hotel Milano was launched, becoming the second Armani hotel to see the light of day. The first – the very successful Armani Hotel Dubai located in the world’s tallest building – was launched in April of last year. The Milan launch-event itself (a real extravaganza, drawing such attention it caused a traffic jam) was attended by international luminaries like Jessica Alba, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Lauren Remington Platt and Olivia Palermo, lasting till the wee hours of the morning. Earlier in the day Giorgio Armani himself had conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony alongside representatives from Emaar Properties PJSC, the collaborator and partner of Armani Hotels & Resorts, to properly mark the occasion.
The hotel itself – anchoring the world-famous fashion district, known as the quadrilatero della moda – couldn’t be more ideally located. Originally designed by Enrico A. Griffini and completed in 1937, it epitomized the rationalist style of the time, offering Mr. Armani the foundation he needed to create the new landmark that spells Armani Hotel, Milano. And as if that wasn’t enough, the hotel with its big panoramic windows offers the best view of Milan, hands-down.
Personally designed by Giorgio Armani, the hotel features 95 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, resonating the simplicity and elegance of the Armani style. It promises a “home-away-from-home” experience in line with the Stay with Armani philosophy. This Armani approach goes way beyond any regular hotel stay by offering you a personal Lifestyle Manager anticipating your every need and ensuring that you get the best out of your stay in Milan.
Inside this building with its austere and powerful exterior, Giorgio Armani has created a world of harmony and privacy, with uncompromising attention to the requirements of guests. Here luxury, calm and beauty are fostered in pure Armani style, imparting a new aesthetic excellence to the concept of comfort. “I have concentrated all my efforts on delivering my personal aesthetic vision within a precisely defined ambience of total comfort,” Mr. Armani explains.
Interestingly, this Armani hotel, created within a palazzo, is shaped by the architectural ground plan as an immense “A”. This can be seen in the original Griffini drawings, and is something that is only visible from above. Maybe it was destined to be?
So for the first time in Europe, you’re now able to get the Milan ‘A’ treatment you so well deserve!
