In conjunction with the new opening, the Berlin store will be hosting an exhibition showcasing 24 sketches, both men’s and women’s, of custom-made outfits designed by Giorgio Armani for internationally renowned film stars such as Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz amongst others. In the shop windows, six original dresses worn by the likes of Cate Blanchett to awards ceremonies and premieres (hers is an Armani Privé one-shoulder silver crystal mesh gown donned at the Oscars in 2007, see the sketch above) will be displayed as well.
The showcase is open to the public and runs until February 19.
