The 54th Annual Grammy Awards 2012, held at Staples Center in Los Angeles, marked Adele’s vocal comeback since undergoing throat surgery last fall. She nabbed all six of the awards for which she was nominated including Song, Record, and Album of the Year. For this triumphant occasion, the multi-nominated singer chose to wear a custom black Giorgio Armani gown. The dress featured three-quarter length sleeves and was covered in black sequined ring-designs, sheathed by a delicate black mesh overlay. The look was completed by a cinched waist, accentuated by a black grosgrain panel on the front. Adele took to the stage and delivered a thrilling live performance, wowing the audience with an a cappella rendition of her hit ‘Rolling in the Deep’. The starlet received a lengthy and much-deserved standing ovation.
Rihanna stole the show when she stepped out on the red carpet in a black silk cady custom Giorgio Armani gown. The dress featured a plunging neckline that was complimented by a high slit, a dramatically open back and a mermaid silhouette cascading into an elegant train. Rihanna also set the Grammys ablaze with her knockout performances of ‘We Found Love’ and ‘Princess Of China’.
Grammy host LL Cool J looked dapper in a Giorgio Armani black velvet double breasted evening jacket with grosgrain lapels along with classic evening pants, a white shirt and a black bow tie. He hit up the Grammy after parties wearing a Giorgio Armani gray wool and silk two-button peak lapel suit with a white shirt and a silver gray neck tie.
Charles Kelley, member of the nominated group Lady Antebellum, also donned a stunning Giorgio Armani creation, a classic black two-button peak lapel tuxedo jacket with dark jeans and a black and white pin-stripe shirt.
Acclaimed newcomer Lana Del Rey attended Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy gala in a satin, soft golden Giorgio Armani gown from the Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear Collection. The strapless dress featured a crescent shaped bodice with a slight ruffle on the hip.
